Caleta de Fuste, situated six miles (10km) south of Fuerteventura's airport, is the busiest holiday resort on the island. Also known as Castillo, there is plenty for the whole family to do, including windsurfing, diving and snorkelling. Away from the beach a new golf course offers a relaxing way to while away the hours.
The nightlife is fairly low-key but varied, ranging from karaoke bars and live bands to quiet local bars. And there is a wide choice of places to eat.
