Kavos Holidays - Cheap Package Holiday Deals to Kavos

A young, energetic and flamboyant Corfu resort

Kavos is the most flamboyant and energetic of the Corfu resorts, whose extensive clubbing scene appeals to young British people looking for an action-packed holiday.

Although Kavos’s long, narrow beach isn’t the best in Corfu, holiday-makers who partied a little too much the night before may find the lovely views over to the Greek mainland soothing and restorative. Where Kavos beaches score highly is in the quality and range of water sports available, and swimming in the warm shallow waters. Boat trips around the scenic coast are popular, and you can also visit the nearby aqua park.

Shops in Kavos cater almost exclusively for tourists, offering souvenirs and fake designer labels. If you want to take your chance with a street vendor, remember to haggle hard. Mini-markets supply self-catering essentials, including cheap alcohol and cigarettes. For more choice, go to Corfu Town, half an hour away by bus, where you can buy gold, leather, lace, ceramics and silver at good prices.

Like the shops, restaurants in Kavos appeal mainly to tourists, with cafes, pubs and restaurants selling food familiar to British holiday-makers. Indian, Chinese and Italian restaurants and fast-food outlets abound, with only a few places offering local culinary delights.

The nightlife in Kavos is one of the main reasons for its popularity, its nightclubs and bars making this holiday resort a top party destination. Snobs and Scorers are popular bars pounding out R&B and garage, and Rollin Stone is usually packed with fans of 60s, 70s and 80s classics. Good nightclubs include the Limelight, Venue and Future-Atlantis.

If you prefer a less hectic holiday but still want to sample Kavos nightlife, stay in the neighbouring resort of Aghios Petros, just a mile (2km) to the north.
